Backend Engineer (Node.js / Laravel)

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Backend Engineer (Node.js / Laravel) to join our growing GladBit team. You’ll collaborate with talented engineers, designers, and product managers to build reliable and scalable software used by clients across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs using Node.js or Laravel.
Design efficient database schemas and optimize query performance.
Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation systems.
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth API integration.
Monitor and improve application performance and reliability.

Requirements

Proficiency in Laravel or Node.js (Express.js preferred).
Solid understanding of REST APIs, SQL, and caching mechanisms.
Familiarity with Docker, AWS, or DigitalOcean is a plus.
Experience in writing unit and integration tests.
Ability to work independently in a remote, agile environment.
